BIP alum’s one-month-old baby hospitalized
Earlier this week, Bachelor in Paradise alum Kevin Wendt took to his Instagram to share scary news with his followers. His entire family, including Astrid Loch, and their one-month-old son, caught COVID-19. The baby’s symptoms were so severe, that he had to be hospitalized.
Astrid stayed with the newborn at the hospital. Her fiance and baby August’s father, Kevin Wendt, wasn’t able to visit due to testing positive for the virus.
Now the Bachelor Nation alum is sharing an update with worried fans.
Astrid Loch shares an update on sick baby
Astrid Loch took to her Instagram on Wednesday, December 22, with a heartening update about her baby’s health. She revealed that she and her baby are back at home after a harrowing week of illness.
The first-time mom revealed how upsetting it was to watch her son get “poked and prodded.” As many parents can relate, she described the feeling of helplessness as a “nightmare.” However, the reality star also expressed her gratitude for the health care workers who took such great care of her son.
The fan-favorite Bachelor Nation star further advised her followers to stay vigilant. “This new variant is aggressive and spreading quickly. Please be safe this holiday season and do your part to protect those who are unprotected,” she wrote.
She shared a photo with baby August, writing that she’s been “soaking up all of the cuddles.” Where’s her fiance?
What about Kevin Wendt?
In his previous Instagram post, Kevin Wendt revealed that he couldn’t visit his son in the hospital. He also noted his plans to self-isolate until he was COVID-free.
So, the likely reason Kevin Wendt wasn’t in the photo with is because he’s in a separate area in quarantine away from his family.
Another Bachelor Nation alum fights COVID
Astrid and Kevin’s son August isn’t the only Bachelor Nation baby fighting COVID. Last week, Jamie Otis revealed that her son Hendrix and the rest of her family tested positive for COVID.
Earlier this month, she shared a terrifying video of her young son randomly having seizures. Now she realizes that the seizures were caused by the coronavirus.
