‘Bachelorette’ Season 18 Finale & ‘ATFR’ Not Airing As Scheduled?!
Bachelorette Season 18 finale and After the Final Rose not airing as scheduled?! Keep reading for all the details on the possible schedule shake-up.
Michelle Young to hand out final rose
Michelle Young’s journey to love on Season 18 of The Bachelorette is close to the end. During the season finale, she will hand out her final rose to either Brandon Jones or Nayte Olukoya. She’s hopeful that the final man standing will drop to his knees to propose.
Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron recently offered advice to the final two contestants. Having been where they are, Cameron encourages the winner to ignore the “naysayers.” Click here to read more of his wisdom.
However, viewers may not get to watch the entire finale and After the Final Rose special. Find out why.
Why the Bachelorette Season 18 finale may not air as scheduled
ABC’s fall 2021 schedule once again had The Bachelorette airing on Tuesdays. The show’s usual Monday time slot was occupied by Dancing with the Stars. Unfortunately, that decision may come back to bite the network.
Michelle Young’s season finale is scheduled to air on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. However, President Joe Biden announced over the weekend that he will address the nation on Tuesday night regarding the fight against COVID-19 and the new Omicron variant.
The televised speech will air on all networks at 8 p.m. Eastern time, right when the Bachelorette finale starts. The two-hour finale will be followed by a one-hour After the Final Rose special. Unfortunately, both are in danger of not airing as scheduled.
Heavy reports that the network may choose to push back the start time of the finale. However, that will then push the ATFR into the nightly news time slot, causing the special to cut off early.
As of right now, The Bachelorette and After the Final Rose are both still on ABC’s Tuesday night schedule. The network has yet to reveal how it will air both the reality show and the President’s address.
Fans gear up for new season of Bachelor
Bachelor Nation fans won’t have too long to mourn their favorite reality show. The franchise will be back on the air in January with a new season of The Bachelor.
Despite criticism from fans, and alum Nick Viall, ABC is going full-steam ahead with Clayton Echard.
Season 26 of The Bachelor kicks off on Monday, January 3, 2021, only on ABC.
