Isabel Roloff Shares The Fear-Mongering Before Mateo’s Birth
Isabel Roloff recently became a mom! She and former Little People, Big World star Jacob Roloff welcomed their first son, Mateo Tomás, to the world earlier this month. Now, she’s getting the hang of motherhood. While Jacob and Isabel hope to give their son a more private life, the new mom has been sharing a little bit of information on social media to keep fans in the loop.
Recently, she shared a photo of a special gift she received for Mateo and gave fans some details about his name. Now, she has posted a Q&A on her Instagram stories, allowing fans to take a peek into her life as a mom.
Isabel Roloff recalls the ‘fear-mongering’ moments before her son was born.
On Instagram, Isabel shared a question box so fans could send in questions. She had a little break while her baby was sleeping. Then, she selected a few questions to answer. Naturally, many of the questions are about Mateo, as well as the baby’s birth and motherhood so far.
One fan asked whether Mateo is a dwarf and recalled that Isabel previously said the baby’s head is big and round. Isabel clarified, “Mateo is average size, but since about 30 weeks we were told his head was measuring 5 weeks ahead and they were fear wondering that his head wouldn’t fit. It did.”
Another fan was curious about what Jacob and Isabel will be sharing about their son online. She said that they’ve planned to “protect his privacy online” since before he was born. She explains, “How that looks was always going to change because you don’t know until you’re in it, how you’re going to feel, what you’re going to feel comfortable sharing when baby is really here. Ultimately Jacob said from the beginning that we will share very little about our kids and I agreed.”
She continued, “So now we are navigating that daily, checking in with each other about comfortability and what we choose to share.”
Finally, she added, “As for the birth, I will probably share eventually but it will be focused on me and my experience of course and less about baby. Hope that makes sense.”
