My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7 titled “Ryan’s Story” aired tonight and here’s our spoilers and recap.

My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7 tells the story of Ryan Barkdoll. He is introduced as a 31-year-old that weighs 740-lbs. Ryan lives in Columbia Falls, MT with his mother and her boyfriend. Though, he quickly makes it clear his heart is back in Oregon with all of his friends.

Unfortunately, TLC viewers never learn how much Ryan Barkdoll actually weighs. He tells viewers at home that he had gone to the hospital a few months prior. During that time, he weighed in at 740-lbs. He had not been back to the doctor since, he never made it to Houston to see Dr. Now, and the clinic he went to several times during the episode had a scale that couldn’t pick up his weight.

As My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7 progressed, it becomes clear that Ryan isn’t willing to let his cheat meals go. His mother decides she isn’t interested in being an enabler. She spends time trashing any food he isn’t allowed to consume in the house. This involves filling up a whole trash bag full of food from the pantry.

At one point in time during the episode, his mother walked in after he had just got Dairy Queen delivered. It looked like he ordered a chicken strip box. This box typically comes with three or five chicken strips, fries, and a couple of pieces of toast. His mother was horrified when she busted him and took the food from him. She noted their dogs would be eating chicken strips tonight. She reminded Ryan she was cooking dinner and the food he had ordered wasn’t part of his diet.

Can’t sleep in a bed or shower

Ryan Barkdoll reveals that he hasn’t been able to sleep in a bed for eight years. So, he sleeps in a recliner. And, he uses an ottoman to prop his legs up while he is sleeping. Ryan explained that he had to be careful sitting down on the recliner because he couldn’t really put the weight on his knees to sit down like a normal person. So, he has to just flop down on the recliner. Ryan Barkdoll admits he knows it is only a matter of time before the recliner buckles under his weight and he could get seriously hurt when that happens.

The hygiene scene was extremely difficult for Ryan during My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7. Ryan admits that he doesn’t shower because he can’t stand long enough to do so. So, he uses baby wipes and soapy water to clean himself while sitting in the chair he sleeps and spends his entire day sitting in. Ryan admits that with the exception of going to the bathroom, he really doesn’t leave the chair that often.

Ryan loses all support for moving to Texas

My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7 spoilers reveal Ryan Barkdoll says he wants to move to Texas to participate in Dr. Now’s program. He explained that his mother and her boyfriend were on board. And, they were making arrangements to move with him to Texas. He had even acquired an apartment. From Ryan’s point of view, he manages to lose all support with his plans to go to Texas. His mother and her boyfriend decide they don’t want to go. Ryan doesn’t really explain what happened. But, viewers stop seeing Ryan’s mother and boyfriend at this point in time in the episode.

Ryan Barkdoll explain he and his mother had gotten into it about his cheat days. He insisted she needed to let him do the diet his way so he could be successful. He argued he just needed a few cheat meals so he didn’t give in to his cravings. His mother, however, didn’t agree with his methods. And, it appeared as if she may have given up on helping him because he refused to change his ways.

By the end of the episode, Ryan Barkdoll had expanded to multiple cheat meals a week instead of one cheat day. His cheat meals contained an enormous amount of food he ordered for delivery. Moreover, he admits he was sneaking to eat his cheat meals when his mother and her boyfriend were not home so they couldn’t bother him.

My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7: Did Ryan abandon production?

As we previously reported, many fans speculate Ryan Barkwell may have abandoned the production of his episode by the end of My 600-Lb. Life Season 10, Episode 7. By the end of the episode, he completely dodged all of Dr. Now’s attempts to reach out to him. He never made it to Houston. And, he had a whole slew of excuses.
