Jana Duggar’s Child Endangerment Incident Defended By Cousin Amy King
Jana Duggar has been making headlines after receiving a written citation for child endangerment. Her cousin Amy King has spoken out about the matter several times, but she hasn’t been consistent in her views. This time, however, Amy is standing up for her cousin.
In case you don’t know, Jana received a written citation when one of the children in her care was found out by the road. Some of the details are unconfirmed, but sources have shared information with Without a Crystal Ball. According to a source, Jana fell asleep while watching several kids at her parents’ home. The source claims that Maryella, who was 22 months old at the time, was found outside in the street.
In response to all of this, Amy first posted an Instagram story of herself hanging out with her two-year-old son. She added that she was spending the day with him but would not be falling asleep. She later deleted the post and shared a new one defending Jana.
Amid all of this, Jessa Seewald posted an explanation, defending her sister. Then, Jana posted her side of the story, also defending herself.
Amy King sticks up for her cousin, Jana Duggar.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, Amy seemingly defends Jana while calling out other members of the family who “take advantage” of her. She says, “I believe that if you are a parent you should watch your own children. It’s not right to always have someone else watching them for you.”
In another tweet, she seems to shade Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. She writes, “Your kids even your older kids should not be your built in babysitter.” Then, she adds, “Helping out every once in a while is great but if you’re gonna have that many kids then be responsible for them.”
It looks like Amy is defending Jana because it’s not her fault that she’s responsible for her younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. The Duggars have been bashed in the past for making their older kids raise their younger ones. Amy seems to think that this accident could have been avoided if Jana didn’t have to be responsible for so many young children all the time.
