18 Year Old Lydia Plath Breaks Free, Gets Her First Social Media Account
18-year-old Lydia Plath has taken a big step. The Welcome to Plathville star has joined social media, which might come as a surprise. The Plath kids live pretty sheltered lives, as you may know from the show. And Kim and Barry, Lydia’s parents, aren’t big on computer usage and cell phones. They feel that it’s important for their kids to run around outdoors and do more hands-on activities.
Some of the Plath kids already use social media, but this only includes the ones who no longer live under Kim and Barry’s roof. Ethan and his wife, Olivia, are both active on Instagram. Moriah Plath shares plenty of photos online too. Micah Plath also has an Instagram account.
As we reported before, Moriah helped Isaac start using Instagram too. Interestingly, he still lives with his parents, so it’s unclear how they responded to this.
Now, Lydia is joining the rest of her siblings online.

Lydia is officially using Instagram! The Welcome to Plathville star shared her first post in early December. In her post, she talks about her music career. She wrote, “Just in the past few months God has given me a few songs and now I have the opportunity to share them with others:) I love music and can’t wait to share it with you all!😊” She shared a picture of herself performing on stage.
Several of her posts are about her music. She excitedly announced that she will be releasing her first song in January. So, fans have something to look forward to in the new year.
On the show, fans have had a chance to get to know Lydia. But her bio gives more insight into who she is. She writes:

Religion is the last thing I want, relationship with the Father is all I need 💖🌻”
Just a week after sharing her first post, Lydia has over 30,000 Instagram followers. They seem to care about what she has to share and are eager to see what comes next.
