New Gabby Petito Chilling Documentary To Air, Answers Many Questions

There is a new chilling documentary releasing this month on Peacock about the life and death of travel blogger Gabby Petito. The case seemingly came to a close when her fiance and sole person of interest Brian Laundrie was found dead. The Murder of Gabby Petito: Truth, Lies and Social Media

The Murder of Gabby Petito: Truth, Lies and Social Media will begin airing on Peacock on December 17. The documentary will feature friends and family closest to Gabby as they shed light on her life and her death.

According to E!News, the documentary will address unanswered questions about her case and the horrifying conclusion. In their first documentary interview, Gabby’s parents and stepparents reflect on the life of Gabby. These reflections include childhood memories and details that have never been seen before.

Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito had set out to travel across the country. As later revealed, the two had disagreements along the way. On September 1, Laundrie returned to Florida alone never mentioning Gabby at all. On September 11, Gabby’s family reported her missing. The case gained national attention as Laundrie also went missing from his parent’s home.

On September 21 authorities confirmed that remains found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest belonged to Gabby. The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be homicide by strangulation.  Laundrie was the sole person of interest in the case but was never named an official suspect.

Brian Laundrie remains found

On October 20, the remains of Brian Laundrie were found following a month of searching. Dog the Bounty Hunter even became involved in the search for Laundrie. Brian’s remains were found in the nature reserve near his family’s home in Florida. It was determined Laundrei committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.

The documentary will also dive into the social media investigations that overall helped the case. Journalists will be interviewed about the time spent on the case. Social media users who dived into the case trying to help will also be addressed.

A notebook was found next to Laundrie’s remains and so far the details within have not been released to the public.
