Now, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar don’t have too many children under the age of 18 left in their household. As those who follow this family know, it is tradition for children to get married and move out shortly after turning 18. This is with the exception of Jana Duggar who is in her 30’s. Jana still lives at home with her parents because she hasn’t gotten married and Jim Bob’s rule is his children cannot leave until they get married.

While it is a lot of hypotheticals and what-ifs, the court could decide to order examinations of Jim Bob and Michelle’s children under 18. The examinations would be to make sure Josh Duggar never abused these children. If the court found signs of abuse and decided Jim Bob and Michelle knew about it and did nothing to protect their children… They could be at risk of losing their children.

Katie Joy did clarify in the comments of her Instagram post discussing this that the statute of limitations would factor into what charges can and can’t come up regarding Josh’s abuse of his siblings. Also in the comments, those following this story note it was convenient that Jim Bob waits until the statute of limitations has passed before calling attention to Josh’s crimes against his own siblings.
