New ‘Bringing Up Bates’ Relationship Confirmed: Who’s Courting?
There’s another Bringing Up Bates romance brewing! On Instagram on Friday, one of the Bates kids shared some very exciting news with fans. Stick around to get all of the details on the relationship update.
Currently, there aren’t many new, known relationships in the Bates family. It’s possible that some of the kids are courting and haven’t shared the news with fans yet. A couple of courtships recently resulted in marriages. Nathan Bates married Esther Keyes in October. Then, in December, Travis Clark and Katie Bates got married.
In between the two weddings, Lawson Bates proposed to Tiffany Espensen. He asked her during a romantic getaway to Italy. With several relationships heading to the next level, it’s time for another courtship to begin. So, who’s courting now?

On Instagram on Friday, Trace Bates shared a new photo of himself and Lydia Romeike. It looks like things are Instagram official between the pair! For months, fans have picked up on hints that they might be courting. She’s been spotted at a few Bates family events. Plus, she and Trace went to a Tennessee Titans game and he posted a photo of them standing side by side with their backs to the camera.
In his Instagram post, he shared a photo of himself and Lydia all dressed up. It might have been taken at a recent family wedding. Lydia is wearing a deep red dress while Trace is wearing a suit and tie. He writes, “So blessed to call you mine ❤️❤️❤️”
In a post on her own Instagram page, Lydia shared several photos of herself and Trace together on the beach. The two are very close and comfortable as he wraps his arms around her in one snap. In another photo, they’re holding hands.
She sweetly writes, “Can’t believe you’re mine☺️♥️” She gave photo credits to Jackson Bates, one of Trace’s brothers.
The new couple is getting a very positive response to their big news. Bringing Up Bates fans are thrilled to see their gorgeous pictures together. They hope to get more updates about Trace and Lydia soon.
