Ben & Jessa Seewald Break Silence On Josh Duggar’s Verdict
Ben and Jessa Seewald have now issued a statement regarding Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict. Since Josh was declared guilty in his child pornography case, the Duggar family members have been releasing statements. So, what do Jessa and Ben have to say about the outcome?
As we reported already, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Josh’s parents, posted a statement to their family blog on Thursday night, just hours after Josh was convicted. Around the same time, Jill and Derick Dillard posted a statement on their blog as well. Jill and Derick’s was much more well-received, and they were even applauded for throwing “classy shade” at Jim Bob.
Now, Ben and Jessa are using their platforms to speak out about Josh’s guilty verdict and horrific crimes.
Ben and Jessa Seewald issue a statement about Josh Duggar’s verdict.
On Friday morning, Ben shared a new post on his Instagram stories. In his statement, he wrote, “From the moment we learned of this case against Josh we have prayed that God would cause the truth to be made known, no matter what is was, and that the facts would be followed wherever they led.”
He continued, “We are grieved beyond words over the children exploited and abused in child sexual abuse material, and we are thankful for our justice system in its punishment of such evils.”
Finally, he asks for prayers for Josh’s family during this difficult time.
At this point, Jessa hasn’t posted the statement on her own Instagram account. She hasn’t been active on social media for a little while now, so it’s possible that she won’t end up sharing this statement. Plenty of Duggar fans follow both Jessa and Ben, so they may see it on his page anyway.
Even though Jessa didn’t post the statement yet, it appears to be from both of them. They use “we” and “our” throughout the statement, so it sounds like they wrote it together.
Fans and critics are continuing to watch for statements to come out from the rest of the family amid Josh’s guilty verdict. Fans think everyone else’s statements should be released very soon.
So, what do you think of Ben and Jessa Seewald’s statement on the results of Josh Duggar’s trial? Do you think their post is well-written? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. For more Duggar family news, come back to TV Shows Ace.
