Amy Halterman was not in the room when Misty and Chris confronted Tammy Slaton about her new boyfriend. So, Amy seized an opportunity to have a conversation about it while she was hanging out with her sister and Gage. Tammy explained that she just loves everything about her boyfriend Phillip.
Speaking to the producer, Tammy added that Phillip did not immediately approach her to talk about being intimate like so many other men do. She said she can call and talk to him on the phone for hours about everything or about nothing. And, she really loves the connection they have.
Amy Halterman, however, isn’t sure how she feels about this relationship.

Speaking to the producer during a confessional, Amy Halterman argues her sister Tammy is thinking with her cooter instead of her brain. She adds that Tammy Slaton can’t be expected to have a real healthy relationship with someone while she’s six feet under.
Chris Combs speculates Tammy is jealous
Chris Combs reveals part of Tammy Slaton’s problem is she likes to wear her heart on her sleeve. He argues she’s so lonely that she’ll give just about anything for someone to show her just a little attention. Chris fears her new boyfriend is just using her for the following she’s accumulated because of the show.
Chris also speculates Tammy Slaton is actually jealous of Amy Halterman. While Tammy has argued she doesn’t want children, she is watching her sister live this full life with a beautiful family and she’s jealous. Chris speculates she’ll either find someone to be in a relationship with, stay fat, and die in a few years… Or, she’ll turn her life around and get a life similar to the one Amy has.
