What is Hallmark’s Christmas For Keeps About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, everyone has that one teacher whose impact on them follows them throughout their lives. Therefore, when a beloved high school drama teacher (Golding) passes away, five close friends reconnect in their Virginia hometown.
Avery (Allen) spearheads a celebration of life with her friends Ben (Rottman), Sarah (Newbrough), Noah (Wong), and Mia (Scott). They plan to commemorate their favorite mentor that intersects with the Christmas traditions he famously enjoyed.
As laughter, tears and the joy of the season intertwine, the friends are reminded of the kernels of wisdom that their teacher bestowed to each of them. All the while, Ben’s secret love for Avery may finally come to light as something more than friendship sparks between them.
At the conclusion of the week-long Christmas celebration, the greatest way of honoring their teacher lies in the ways they help one another rekindle loving ties and create brighter futures for each other.

The premiere of Christmas For Keeps is on Saturday, December 18, at 10 p.m., Eastern, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Encore showings include Sunday, December 19 at 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, at 8 p.m., Saturday, December 25, at 2 p.m., and Monday, January 3, at 12 a.m., all times Eastern.
