Colton Underwood Confesses He Only Speaks To ONE ‘Bachelor’ Alum
Colton Underwood wasn’t joking when he said earlier this year that he doesn’t f**k with Bachelor Nation alums. In a new interview, he reveals the name of the ONE person he still talks to from his time on The Bachelor. Keep reading to find out who it is.
Colton Underwood denounced Bachelor Nation amid scandal
In 2021, several Bachelor Nation alums came under fire for accepting PPP loans during the coronavirus pandemic. Stars such as Tayshia Adams and Arie Luyendyk Jr. received money from the government, despite having few – if any – employees.
Season 23 lead, Colton Underwood, also received such a loan. However, he claimed that his loan was legit. The money went to his Legacy Foundation, which specializes in giving support to people with cystic fibrosis.
At the time, the former reality star denounced the franchise, saying that he “don’t f**k” with anyone from the show anymore. It turns out he meant it.
Which alum does he still talk to?
The PPP loan scandal came just two months after Colton Underwood’s shocking revelation that he was gay. He announced the news during an interview with Good Morning America in April of 2021.
Bachelor Nation fans were shocked, as Underwood previously appeared on several versions of the show, looking for a wife. At the time, it was reported that Netflix was making a docuseries that would follow Colton’s coming out journey.
Coming Out Colton premiered on the streaming service on Friday, December 3. He recently spoke to Us Weekly to promote his new show. During his chat, he revealed that is no longer friends with anyone from the franchise, except one person. Who is it?
Not surprisingly, former host Chris Harrison is the that person. As fans recall, Harrison left the franchise earlier this year amid a scandal of his own. Bachelor alum Jesse Palmer takes over hosting duties next month for Season 26 of The Bachelor.
Colton Underwood told Us Weekly that Chris Harrison is the only one who reached out to him after he came out.
“Unfortunately, I don’t have really any relationships in the franchise anymore,” Colton said of the show.
Did he just shade Bachelor as fake?
In the years since his turn as The Bachelor, Colton Underwood has been distancing himself from the franchise. Part of his Netflix special documents him coming out to his friends and family. Speaking to Us Weekly, he admitted that his family didn’t necessarily love that.
However, he reassured them by saying his new reality show is “very raw and real and authentic compared to some of the last shows I did.”
