Will Ex-Girlfriend Cassie Appear In Colton Underwood’s New Netflix Show?
Will Cassie Randolph appear in Colton Underwood’s new Netflix show? That’s what fans are wondering after her name came up several times in the Coming Out Colton trailer. Keep reading for more details.
Netflix ignores backlash, goes ahead with controversial show starring former Bachelor
In May, Bachelor alum Colton Underwood sat down with Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts to make a personal confession. He came out as gay, which sent shockwaves through the franchise. After all, he appeared on multiple shows within the franchise in the hopes of finding a wife.
The admission came a few months after he was accused of stalking and harassing ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph, whom he met on Season 23 of The Bachelor. She actually quit the show, unsure of her feelings. However, Underwood convinced her to give their relationship another chance. They dated for almost two years before splitting up after quarantining together during the coronavirus pandemic.
While the split was originally reportedly as friendly, she filed a restraining order in September 2020 against her ex. In addition to harassment, she alleged that he put a tracking device on her car. Cassie dropped the restraining order and has never spoken about the details.
After coming out on GMA, news broke that Colton Underwood was working with Netflix on a new reality show detailing his coming out. A petition calling for the streaming service to cancel plans for the reality show reached 35k signatures.
However, it appears Netflix paid no mind to the backlash and went ahead with the series.
Coming Out Colton premieres on December 3.
Coming Out Colton reveals internal struggles: ‘I thought I was going to die with this secret’
Days before the release date, Netflix dropped a trailer for the new series starring Colton Underwood and Gus Kenworthy. The Olympic skier, who came out in 2015 after the Sochi Winter Olympics, serves as Underwood’s coming out ‘guide.’
In addition to Kenworthy, several members of Underwood’s family appear, including his dad.
In one clip from the trailer, the former pro football player reveals that he never intended to come out as gay. “I thought I was going to die with this secret,” the reality star says.
He implies that the reason he came out was a result of his messy breakup with Cassie Randolph.
“The reason I came out is because I’m ashamed, and I’m sort of mortified, of what got me to this position in the first place. I put a poor girl through hell because of my own insecurities.” – Colton Underwood, Coming Out Colton.
However, Bachelor Nation fans will recall that some months ago, Underwood said he was blackmailed into coming out after photos were taken of him in a gay bar.

The couple went Instagram official in August.
Will you be watching Colton Underwood’s reality show about coming out? Coming Out Colton premieres Friday, December 3, only on Netflix.
