Nikki Bella Talks Reasons Behind Postponing Her Wedding
If you haven’t heard much from Brie and Nikki Bella lately, there’s a reason for that. The sisters decided to take six months off, but now The Bellas podcast is back on podcast platforms. ET had the opportunity to speak with the sisters about their hiatus and any upcoming wedding plans that Nikki has with DWTS pro Artem Chigvintsev.
Nikki Bella reveals the complications that keep putting the wedding on hold
Amid podcasting and shooting Total Bellas, Nikki Bella is one very busy woman. And unfortunately, that means wedding planning keeps getting postponed.
“I think last year I said Thanksgiving, right? And I want to say next Thanksgiving,” the WWE superstar said about the timeline. “I can’t believe it’s been a year, but I really do want to get married. I mean, selfishly, I just want to have that, like, one big day about me, I can’t wait for that and to wear that dress, but I do want to marry Artem.”
And of course, the COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t exactly made things easy. Nikki said in the past she wants a huge wedding and Artem definitely wants his parents there. But unfortunately they live in Russia, so travel may not be quite so easy.
“The one promise I made him before we can plan, is that his parents can attend, and with where the world’s at right now and trying to get two Russian parents into the country, it’s almost impossible,” Nikki went on to say. “So, the day I can get two visas, is the day we will set our date and say, ‘I do.'”
As soon as the pandemic gets under control and regular travel can resume, it looks like Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev will finally have their dream wedding.
The couple tries to keep the romance alive amid their chaotic work lives
Meanwhile, Nikki and Artem have no shortage of things to keep them busy. Artem just finished up Dancing With The Stars where he finished in 6th place with Melora Hardin. Nikki also has a gig on AGT: Extreme. But even so, they’re in a very good place right now and still make time for one another when possible.
“It’s been really hard on us, but we’ve had some sexy FaceTimes. And we’re actually in a good spot. We were doing a little rocky for a bit,” Nikki admitted on a recent episode of The Bellas Podcast.
Dancing With The Stars has been pretty strict about quarantine rules, but Nikki and the couple’s son Matteo made time to visit Artem on set this season.
