‘Love After Lockup’: Doug Howard Adds Felony Torture And More To Charges
Former Love After Lockup star Doug Howard is in even hotter water than initially anticipated. He had several charges under his belt when he was arrested in August of this year. Now it appears more is being tacked on while he is still currently incarcerated.
From Love After Lockup To Back In Lockup
Viewers first met Doug in the most recent season of LAL. He had married former marine turned engineer Rachel while he was still behind bars. She admitted she had a thing for inmates and was instantly drawn to him upon seeing his photo. They began chatting and instantly connected. She eventually took his son, Dougie Jr. in as his mother could no longer care for him. Rachel was there when Doug was released though his family warned her he could not stay clean or faithful for all that long.
They turned out to be right. By the end of the season, the marriage was over. She filed for divorce twice and it appeared he had been talking to other women behind her back. Earlier this year, he had violated parole for tampering with his ankle monitor. Soon after, he was in a relationship with a new woman and Rachel had moved on. She still retained custody of Dougie and has shared how happy he is occasionally on social media.
Then, in August, Doug was arrested. He was fleeing from the police on his motorcycle but crashed. As he continued to resist arrest, he pulled out a gun. He was charged with eight felonies including stolen property, assaulting a police officer, etc. Now, he is being charged with more and attempting to involve Rachel in his life, once again.
More Charges For Doug
Though some charges were dropped, some were added according to Starcasm. As of November 16th, Doug was charged with felony torture to cause cruel/extreme mental pain and suffering. Furthermore, he was charged with unlawful imprisonment and assault with a dangerous weapon. His bail is set at three hundred thousand dollars which no one has been able to post.
As for his family, his sister Ashley shares that Doug, his girlfriend, and his father are attempting to take Dougie away from Rachel. If this does happen, he will most likely be placed in foster care despite his outward happiness with his former stepmother.
