As we previously noted, Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough is positive for COVID-19. This means he will likely miss the season finale on Monday night, but that’s not why many people are concerned. We aren’t yet sure how many people Derek unintentionally spread the virus to. Fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba is reportedly self-isolating out of an abundance of caution.

Carrie Ann Inaba and other Dancing With The Stars castmates faced a potential exposure

As Carrie Ann self-isolates, she also unfortunately had to cancel any upcoming public appearances for a short time. She updated fans on her Instagram stories, letting them know the situation.

If Derek Hough is positive for COVID-19, then there’s always the chance that the rest of the judges are too. And that could cause quite a few problems less than a week ahead of the Dancing With The Stars Season 30 finale.

Derek recently shared a post on Instagram confirming he has COVID-19.

“I have some news to share, and I wanted you to hear it straight from me,” the judge said. “Even though I’ve been fully vaccinated, I’ve just been diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID. I just found out. I feel OK. I feel strong. I’m currently taking advice from medical professionals, doing everything I can to get better as fast as I can.”

He noted that he would cancel and reschedule his Las Vegas shows while he recovers.

After Derek posted his video announcement, the support came flooding in. Carrie Ann posted on her own page, “Sending love and light to @derekhough. We love you! And we are wishing you a speedy recovery my friend! ❤️🙏🏼✨ Let’s all send our healing vibes to Derek for a full and speedy recovery! Thank you 🙏🏼✨❤️”

We all hope Derek Hough has a very speedy recovery and hopefully no one else gets sick.

The virus caused a lot of hiccups in the ballroom this year

COVID-19 has caused quite a few problems for Dancing With The Stars this year. Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby both had the virus earlier this season. They missed two episodes and the judges had to grade their performances virtually.

Carrie Ann Inaba had COVID-19 last year after Season 29 wrapped up. Many fans felt concerned since she has many health conditions. But Fortunately, Carrie Ann only had mild symptoms and recovered shortly after.

Many DWTS fans are currently worried about Len Goodman, who is 77-year-old and also has health conditions. Len sits right next to Derek and it doesn’t appear as if the two are six feet apart.

We’ll keep updating you as soon as we know more about this delicate situation. Hopefully, the season finale will move forward as planned and no one else will get sick. Follow us on social media to stay informed.
