Jarrod Schulz has long been known as one of the contestants on Storage Wars. However, it’s actually been quite a while since he’s been on the show.
That doesn’t mean that there isn’t still quite a bit of interest in what he’s doing. There’s also quite a bit of interest in how he’s making his money these days and how much money he’s making.
How Jarrod Schulz Got His Start
The reality star wasn’t always someone who was hoping that one person’s trash was another person’s treasure. He wasn’t always someone who bought storage lockers in order to make his living.
In fact, while he was often portrayed as a bit of a lunk head on Storage Wars, he actually got his start working in the mortgage business. However, after the global financial collapse in the mid-2000s, his aunt suggested that he try the storage auction business.
She apparently got the idea because she had worked in the storage container business and understood the kind of stuff that could be left behind that had some value.
The Business Gets A Boost
Jarrod Schulz and his former girlfriend, Brandi Passante later opened a thrift store in Orange County, California, called Now and Then Second Hand Store.
That shop was successful enough that it got the attention of the showrunners of Storage Wars was initially only interested in Jarrod, but when producers came to the store and met Brandi, they decided that she should be on the show as well.
When Storage Wars first aired Brandi and Jarrod did not have nearly the same financial resources as others on the show, but they were still often seen as someone who could compete with everyone in a very big way.
Eventually, the couple were able to generate a decent enough income. In fact, Jarrod Schulz was eventually able to parlay his storage earnings into buying the Rush Bar and the clothing company Outlaw Apparel.
However, even once things were going well for them on a professional level, things took a bit of a turn on a personal level.
While Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante didn’t broadcast the fact that their romance ended, Brandi did let it be known in 2020 that the two had broken up “two years ago.” The couple had two children.
Jarrod has since moved on with another woman he met at the Rush Bar and he continued to earn quite a bit of money thanks to his multiple endeavors.
While he may not be as wealthy as some of his former Storage Wars castmates, Jarrod Schulz is thought to be worth about $2 million these days.
Certainly not a bad amount when you consider how and where he got his start.
