1000-Lb. Sisters fans grew concerned for Amy Halterman’s weight loss progress after giving birth to Gage. Concern continued to grow as updates on social media suggest her husband Michael has put on weight and she hasn’t lost much of anything. As the 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 3 Premiere airs tonight, fans have one big question. How much weight has Amy Halterman lost since giving birth to Gage?

Pretty early on in the Season 3 Premiere, Amy Halterman admits that she’s lost 40 pounds in the six months that have passed since she had Gage. 1000-Lb. Sisters fans were thrilled to learn this information as they were concerned Amy would backslide after having a baby way before she was recommended to by a doctor.

When Amy Halterman found out she was pregnant, she fessed up to the fact that the doctor encouraged her to wait at least two years to conceive a baby. She, however, only waited a handful of months. It was a rough and dangerous pregnancy, but she made it through and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

Jumps from 5XL to XL

Speaking to her son Gage, Amy Halterman admits that she once wore a 5XL shirt. She, however, now proudly weighs around 240 pounds and rocks an XL shirt instead. As we previously reported, it wasn’t that long ago that Amy Halterman declared she had retired “fat Amy” for good. She was now skinny Amy and that was where she wanted to stay.

During the episode, Amy Halterman fesses up that she hasn’t made the best eating choices since giving birth to Gabe. And, she has a goal of getting to a place where she weighs 150 pounds. So, she has another 90 pounds to lose. So, during the Season 3 Premiere, she attended a workout group for mothers with small children.

Amy Halterman admitted she had reservations about the group because they all looked stuck up and a lot smaller than she was. They, however, were surprisingly nice to her despite the impression they gave off.

Unfortunately, there is a six-month gap between reality and when Season 3 was filmed. So, fans really aren’t sure how much weight she has lost since the episodes were filmed.
