LPBW star Amy Roloff didn’t have any hesitation getting married a second time thanks to wisdom she learned from her failed marriage. What did she learn during her divorce from Matt Roloff? Keep reading for all the details.

LPBW stars’ marriage ended in divorce

When viewers first met Matt and Amy Roloff, they were happily married, raising their four kids – Molly, Jeremy, Zach, and Jacob – together. The TLC show followed the couple as they navigated life as little people. However, viewers saw from the beginning how Matt and Amy bickered and seemed to get unhappier as the years went by.

So, when they announced their split in 2015 after 27 years of marriage, it wasn’t a huge surprise. The divorced was finalized in 2016. Shortly after that, Amy Roloff met Chris Marek and began dating him.

Around the same time, Matt Roloff went public with his romance with Caryn Chandler.

How Chris Marek talked her into having wedding at Roloff Farms

When Chris Marek proposed to Amy in 2019, the couple planned to marry as soon as possible. However, the coronavirus pandemic threw a wrench in those plans. So, when the time came to get married, finding a venue proved difficult due to so many rescheduled weddings.

That’s when Matt Roloff stepped up and offered Roloff Farms as a venue. But due to her personal feelings of living on the farm for so long, Amy Roloff was reluctant.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight earlier this week, the reality star revealed how Chris Marek changed her mind. He helped her see the positive side of having the wedding at the farm. While the property held a lot of negative memories, Marek reminded her of the positive.

“But it’s also where we met. It’s also where our relationship grew and became what it was. So to solidify it, and start our married life with our wedding there, and then going off into the sunset, makes sense.” – Amy Roloff, Entertainment Tonight.

Amy and Chris first met at a singles paint-and-sip event. The two didn’t hit it off immediately, but he eventually invited her to a ride on his motorcycle and the rest is reality show history. She married Chris Marek on August 28, 2021.

Amy Roloff reveals wisdom she learned from failed marriage

The LPBW star was nervous to start dating again, especially due to her height. However, she credits the wisdom she learned from her failed marriage to Matt Roloff, along with crediting her faith.

What did she learn from her divorce? That she’s still a good person. While other divorcees might think they’re “not worthy” of love, Amy Roloff knew she was. And she credits that partly to her split happening on camera.

“Something got lost along the way, but to end a relationship like that in the public eye and still come out. I’m OK with just me,” she said.

Even if she hadn’t found a second chance at love with Chris Marek, she knew she would be okay. Amy Roloff explained to the outlet, “If I never have that opportunity to find someone, I’m good with me. I like being with me.”
