What Is Hallmark’s A Holiday In Harlem About?
Sometimes going back home can be complicated, as in the story of Hallmark’s A Holiday In Harlem. According to the press release, jet-setting executive Jazmin (Washington) has to rethink her holiday plans. That is because her grandmother, Mama Belle (Lifford) has played her hand.
Instead of her usual thoughtful gifts, this year she expects “presence over presents.” So, Jazmin is forced to return home to Harlem. Her complicated family life gets even more confusing when Mama Belle is injured. Therefore, Jazmin agrees to a few things. She has to help out her grandma, right?
First, Jazmin tells her grandmother she will stay in the area. Second, she will take over her grandmother’s annual Christmas Jamboree block co-chairing position. However, this also means that Jazmin is forced to work alongside Caleb (Adams), her former best friend, and another complication.
Although Jazmin is a successful corporate fixer, she struggles with this task. She thought this would be easy. Instead, Jazmin needs to learn about the community and remember to open her heart.
