Amy Roloff Breaks Silence About Losing Her Baby Felix
Little People Big World star Amy Roloff breaks her silence and shares her grief over losing rescue pup Felix just days before her wedding to Chris Marek. Although excited to finally become Mrs. Marek, the loss of her special little boy made the day bittersweet for both Amy and Chris.
Now, as TLC will Little People Big World: Amy and Chris’ Happily Ever special Tuesday, November 9th at 9 pm, a newly released promo reveals the details surrounding the tragic loss of Amy’s beloved sidekick Felix.
Little People Big World: Amy Roloff Devastated Days Before Her Wedding
LPBW celeb Amy Roloff outlines for fans the days leading up to her long-awaited wedding to Chris Marek. Just a few days before the big day, Amy noticed her six-year-old furbaby Felix was just not himself. Of course, Amy just thought and prayed it was a simple thing. However, Felix went downhill relatively fast. So Amy took him to the vet, where she learned Felix was very far gone in his health. Sadly Amy had to make the hard decision to let Felix cross the rainbow bridge.
The Little People Big World matriarch acknowledges Felix was instrumental in getting her through her divorce from Matt Roloff. She adopted Felix not too long before she even met her now-husband Chris Marek. Now, as she heads into her next chapter as Chris’s wife, she does it with the sadness of losing the soul that pulled her through the darkest moments of her adult life.
LPBW: Amy Roloff Thought She And Felix Had More Time
Little People Big World personality Amy Roloff adored her sweet boy Felix. After adopting the little fellow, she assumed she’d have years ad years to spend spoiling him. Sadly that wasn’t in the plan for them. Felix passed at the tender age of just six years old. Most dogs live longer. So, of course, Amy believed her little buddy would be with her and Chris for years to come.
LPBW‘s Amy Roloff says, “It’s amazing what an animal can do in your life.”. Anyone who has ever had a pet certainly would agree. The loss of one’s dog is one of the most profound losses humans experience. Many say losing a pet is akin to losing a child. The loss and loneliness are hard to explain to those who do not have pets. However, any pet mom or dad knows how deep the void of losing their furbaby is. Unfortunately for Amy Roloff, Felix died just two before her wedding. So her grief was delayed as she had no choice but to avoid dealing with his death until after she wed Chris.
