Jill Dillard Shares Rare Family Photos After Tragic Miscarriage
Former Counting On star Jill Dillard is back with an update for fans after her tragic miscarriage news last month. She’s sharing a few family photos and some positivity amid this hard time.
As we reported in early October, Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard had a miscarriage. The Duggar daughter shared a highlight reel of herself and her family as she found out she was pregnant. She also included a clip of herself and her husband telling their sons, Israel, 6, and Samuel, 4, that they were going to have another baby. Sadly, the family had a miscarriage.
They named the baby they lost River Bliss. In a family blog post, they wrote:
“We recently found out that we were expecting our third baby. We were all thrilled! It was fun to see so much joy in the boys’ faces as we shared the news with them. They were full of questions and so excited as we talked about the pregnancy and how they would get to be involved along the way and after baby was born. However, a few days later we started miscarrying.”
Jill Dillard Returns to Social Media
Since the miscarriage, Jill has not been sharing as much on social media as she used to. Fans assume this is because she wants some time to recover from the loss. Many can relate to her and know that this isn’t an easy time for her.
However, on Monday, Jill decided to share a little update, along with a few photos of their family. In her caption, she wrote, “🌻The weather this weekend was lovely and I’m thankful I got to enjoy it with my favorite people 💓” She also used the hashtag, “counting my blessings.”
She posted a photo of herself and Derick, as well as a photo of her sons together and an individual snap of each of them. Fans are loving the update and think that the whole family looks great. They are happy to see an update from Jill and hope she will return to social media soon. For now, Jill and Derick are enjoying their family time together as they heal from their loss.
