‘DWTS’ Contestants Prep For Semifinals After A Tearful Elimination
We’re really coming down to the wire! As Dancing With The Stars Season 30 draws to a close, we finally know which couples will be competing in the semifinals next Monday night. Next Monday is a double elimination night and we’ll see the season finale on November 22.
It’s been a wild ride, but it’s almost time to crown a new Mirrorball Trophy winner. Who do you think it will be?
DWTS featured an incredibly emotional elimination during Janet Jackson Night
No one ever likes to see their favorite DWTS contestants go home. And at the end of the Janet Jackson Night episode, we unfortunately said goodbye to two fan favorites.
It was a tough night full of spectacular routines. In the prerecorded packages, we saw many contestants have arguments with their partners and have emotional makeups.
Since it was a double elimination night, the judges had some tough calls to make. Tonight’s episode featured a bottom three instead of a bottom two.
Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev, Jimmie Allen and Emma Slater, and Olivia Jade and Val Chmerkovskiy were the three couples at risk for elimination.
Between the three couples, Olivia and Val had the lowest scores after the numbers were tallied. They had an emotional embrace and left the competition. Then, it was up to the judges.
All four judges unanimously saved Melora and Artem. It was not an easy decision — Carrie Ann Inaba even made her choice through tears. But sadly, not every Dancing With The Stars contestant can win.
Get ready and start celebrating the final six couples!
This week’s goodbyes were exceptionally painful. But now, we can look forward to celebrating the couples that made it to the semifinals. Next week, we’ll see the final six compete for a chance at the Mirrorball Trophy. They are:
- JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson
- Suni Lee and Sasha Farber
- Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten
- Melora Hardin and Artem Chigvintsev
- Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke
- Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach
Who do you think has what it takes to win it all? Start making your predictions about who will make it through to the season finale and who will go home at the end of the semifinals. Let us know the couples in your top four in the comments.
Suni Lee definitely made the most progress tonight. She made a great comeback after fleeing the stage during Queen Night due to an illness. She wowed the judges with a new hairstyle and a newfound sense of confidence. It’s hard to believe she ever doubted herself!
The semifinals episode of DWTS kicks off next Monday night at 8 PM eastern time. We can’t wait to see what happens next. Until then, keep checking back with us. We’ll be here to fill you in.
