Bringing Up Bates fans wanted to know whether John and Alyssa Webster would be prepared to have 19 children of their own. As fans know, Alyssa’s parents, Gil and Kelly Jo Bates have 19 kids. The family’s TV shows have documented the ups and downs of having so many people under one roof. While the Bates family is somehow able to make it work, fans feel that 19 kids would be quite the challenge.

So far, several of Kelly Jo and Gil’s kids seem to be interested in having large families themselves. However, it’s unclear if any of them will be able to have 19. Chad and Erin Paine are expecting their fifth baby and Tori and Bobby Smith have three children who are very close in age. Zach and Whitney Bates have four little ones.

Currently, Alyssa and John have four daughters, Allie, 6, Lexi, 4, Zoey, 3, and Maci, 9 months. So, do they plan on aiming for 19 kids, or do they want to keep their family a bit smaller?

Does the Bringing Up Bates couple want 19 kids?

One fan asked, “Could you guys handle 19 kids?” In response, Alyssa quickly says, “Yeah, no.” She laughs and starts saying, “I’m not even– yeah, no.” John seems to agree with her as he quickly moves on to the next question.

In the video, they didn’t reveal how many kids they actually want to have. However, Alyssa originally talked about having six kids. More recently, she said that she thinks Maci is their last child.

Another fan asked how overwhelmed they are with four kids. Alyssa calls having little kids “semi-overwhelming.” But it is getting easier as they get older.
