‘Joe Millionaire’ Is Returning After Two Decades, But With A Twist, What Is It?
After two decades, Joe Millionaire is returning to television. Fans were shocked during its first run to learn that the lead didn’t actually have 50 million dollars. However, since the winner chose to stay with him anyway, they split a 1 million dollar prize. Now, with the return of the show, there is an even bigger twist. Keep reading to find out more.
Joe Millionaire returns to Fox with huge twist
This time around, the show will be called Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer. According to Variety, the show will make its big return debut in January 2022. Of course, The Bachelor will also be premiering in early January featuring Clayton Echard. So, what is the big twist involved with Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer?
This time the show will feature two eligible bachelors with a twist. One is very rich and the other has no money at all. Fox Entertainment’s Rob Wade, president of alternative and specials, announced the project on Wednesday.
Wade said, “This revival of Joe Millionaire represents a potent combination: one of the most innovative and popular dating shows of all time with SallyAnn Salsano, who ranks among the most fearless producers in the business.” He continued, “I’ve long admired Joe Millionaire for its daring premise, and since the moment I joined Fox, I’ve wanted to bring it back in the spotlight in a whole new way for both new viewers and fans of the original.”
What will the women know?
There will be 20 women on the show. All of the ladies will be dating both men. Plus, they will know that one is rich and the other is not. They just won’t know who is who. Many assume the two men used fake names on the show to prevent Google searches. Perhaps the women had no access to the internet at all while filming.
In the Fox promo they said, “As love connections are made and each guy finds his perfect match, the women must ask themselves what is more important… love or money?”
The host of the new reality show declared in the promo, “One of these men is worth over 10 million dollars, the other is not. Who is who?”
It will be interesting to see which women are looking for love and which are just looking to add to their bank account.
Our love is one in a millionaire! 💕
