Former star of The Bachelor Matt James had a huge announcement to make to his followers. Prior to revealing his news, Matt deleted or hid all of his Instagram posts. Fans were anxious to learn what the life-changing news would be. The only hint he gave was in his Instagram Stories that revealed a childhood photo of himself and his mother. Former Bachelor Matt James shares big news with fans
Matt James went to Instagram to share the news that had been teased to his fans. Some predicted what the news would be and was correct. Others had no idea. So, what did Matt announce?
As it turns out, Matt James wrote a book. He’s following in the footsteps of many Bachelor Nation stars and sharing his story with the world. He went to Instagram to share a photo of the book along with a message. Matt said, “MY story, unedited. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Off-Screen Conversations with a Bachelor on Race, Family, and Forgiveness comes out May 2022. Can’t wait to share more of my story with y’all, the whole truth ❤️.”
Matt’s book will reportedly give a glimpse into who Matt is off-camera. The synopsis for the new book says, “On the show, Matt could only go so far in sharing his own story with America. In First Impressions, Matt shares his views on controversial topics like race and opportunity that defined his season on The Bachelor. Matt lives at the intersection of these important issues and shares the wisdom his experience has granted him.”

Reaction to Matt’s news
Emmanuel Acho was one of the first to congratulate Matt on his book. Ben Higgins also shared his congrats. He said, “Congrats Matt, hoping for the best as you walk through the book journey.”
Fans also chimed in about the news. Most followers were very supportive of Matt’s new venture. Many offered words of congrats or simply said they can’t wait to read it.
Of course, there were a few negative comments. However, the majority were all positive words of encouragement for Matt James.
So far, Rachael Kirkconnell appears to be silent on social media about Matt’s new book. It’s also interesting to note that since Matt made his huge announcement, his Instagram photos have all returned.
