MAFS alum Matthew Gwynne arrested
The alum wasn’t very well-liked while he was on the show and it seems could be living up to his villainous character in real life. He married Amber on Season 9 of the hit show. However, he was distant throughout this marriage. Because of his actions on the show, he is reportedly known as one of the worst husbands to ever be on the show.
Amber and Matthew were not able to make their marriage work on the show. They divorced and proceeded to live life apart. Now, Matthew got himself into trouble with the law. The former pro basketball player found himself arrested in Nashville after a domestic disturbance. What happened?
Since leaving MAFS Matthew has kept a pretty low profile. However, he does occasionally post on Instagram. Now, he’s found himself in the public eye once more but not for good reason.
According to Scoop Nashville, Matthew was arrested and booked into the Metro Nashville Jail. He was arrested when police found him going to a party at a downtown bar Sunday evening. A warrant had been issued for his arrest for an incident he was involved in earlier that same weekend.
The court records reportedly showed he had a disturbance involving his “on-again/off-again” girlfriend. He reportedly got into an argument with her and said he was going back to her house. She didn’t want him to. However, he did anyway and broke through her door. He was charged with felony domestic vandalism. He is out of jail on a $2,500 bond.
Did he hurt her or take anything?
The affidavit obtained from court records said that the victim was not home when Matthew entered the property. Her alarm company notified her of a break-in. She wasn’t concerned because her alarm reportedly goes off often. Upon returning home the following day, she found the door broken.
She reported to the police that nothing of hers was missing. However, it appears Matthew took some of his own belongings. She was able to provide proof it was Matthew by giving police the footage from her doorbell camera.
What do you think about Matthew’s behavior? Did you watch him on Married at First Sight?
