‘The Bachelor’ Season 26 Premiere Date Revealed
ABC just dropped The Bachelor Season 26 premiere date. When will the new season of the dating competition air? Keep reading for all the details.
ABC mum on the name of lead
ABC is ready for a new season of The Bachelor, but they aren’t ready to officially name the Season 26 lead. It is widely believed that one of Michelle Young’s suitors on Season 18 of The Bachelorette nabbed the coveted slot. However, since her season only started airing on October 19, ABC is holding off on an official announcement so not to spoil fans.
So, who is it?
SPOILER ALERT
Rumor has it that Clayton Echard is your next Bachelor lead. It’s unclear when he is eliminated by Michelle Young. However, once he is sent packing, the rumor mill will be proven right or wrong.
In the meantime, there are some details about Season 26 of The Bachelor that we do know for sure. First up, the air date.
The Bachelor Season 16 air date
Not surprisingly, the network is sticking to a January premiere date for the popular reality show. Mark your calendars. Season 26 of The Bachelor premieres on Monday, January 3rd.
Who will host?
Long-time Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison left the franchise earlier this year amid a racism-infused scandal. One of Season 25 lead Matt James’ contestants faced backlash for resurfaced photos of her attending an ‘Old South’-themed college party.
Before she could make a public statement, Harrison appeared on Extra to defend her. He came under fire for comments seemingly dismissing the incident. He then took a step back from hosting, which later became permanent.
The network handpicked Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe to host Seasons 17 and 18 of The Bachelorette. For Bachelor in Paradise, they brought in revolving guest hosts. However, none of them were offered a full-time gig hosting the flagship show, The Bachelor.
That job went to Season 5 Bachelor, Jesse Palmer. He will debut as host on January 3, 2022, per People magazine.
Another thing in Season 26 will look familiar to viewers. The famous Bachelor mansion is back! Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the last few seasons have been filmed at various resorts for quarantine procedures.
However, Season 26 returns not only to the mansion, but also to exotic filming locations as the season progresses.
