I Came By is a new Netflix Original neo-noir thriller coming from the UK. The upcoming movie tells the story of a young graffiti artist who uncovers a shocking secret when targeting the homes of the wealthy elite. Netflix Original movie I Came By
Netflix has commissioned a new slate of films and TV shows coming from the UK. The first movie coming out of this agreement is the neo-noir thriller I Came By. The Netflix Original movie is to be directed by BAFTA winner Babak Anvari (Monsterland, Under the Shadow, Wounds).
Anvari will also co-write the script with Namsi Khan (Humans, Domina, His Dark Materials). The movie is being developed by Film4 and New Regency and will be produced alongside XYZ, which brokered the deal with Netflix.
Meanwhile, Netflix has set up a huge new creative hub in Shepperton Studios in the UK as part of its push into UK production. This means that fans of UK productions have plenty to look forward to on the streaming channel.
Plot and cast of the neo-noir thriller
So far, not much detail has been revealed about the Netflix Original project. However, we do know it is a neo-noir thriller that focuses on a young graffiti artist. Set in London, he uncovers a shocking secret while targeting the homes of the wealthy elite with telling graffiti. This leads him on a journey that endangers himself and those closest to him.

The cast of I Came By was announced in July 2020, with George Mackay (Captain Fantastic, 1917) in the lead. He stars alongside Kelly Macdonald (No Country for Old Men, Boardwalk Empire) and Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Notting Hill).
Other members of the cast include Percelle Ascott (The Innocents, Tin Star), Varada Sethu (Hard Sun, Strike Back), and Antonio Aakeel (Tomb Raider, Dublin Murders).
Production status of Netflix Original movie I Came By
Deadline revealed in August 2021 that the movie was expected to shoot for around two weeks in the fall of 2021. As per the movie’s official IMDb page, I Came By entered post-production in late September 2021 and that filming actually took place in August 2021. At around that time, actor Hugh Bonneville shared an image to Instagram taken on the set of the movie.
Scenes of the movie being filmed in Surrey, England, were also shared on Twitter by a George Mackay fan.

When can we expect the movie to release?
As filming and production have only recently happened, it will be a while before fans of the genre can enjoy the new thriller. Meanwhile, according to Deadline, the new Netflix Original neo-thriller is expected to release in 2022. As soon as we know more, we will let you know.
