Why does Tayshia Adams feel like she ‘dodged a bullet’ getting dumped by Colton Underwood? Keep reading for all the details on what the former Bachelor-turned-Bachelorette had to say about her dating history in the franchise.

Tayshia Adams, Colton Underwood shocking breakup

Tayshia Adams was a contestant on Season 23 of The Bachelor. She was one of the two final women hoping for Colton Underwood’s final rose. However, he made one of the most controversial decisions in franchise history.

After Cassie Randolph self-eliminated, Underwood sent Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin home, and begged Cassie for another chance. She agreed and the two dated until May of 2020.

Adams would later go on to replace Clare Crawley in Season 16 of The Bachelorette.

After the tense breakup with Randolph (she filed a restraining order against him,) Underwood came out as gay in April 2021 during an interview with Good Morning America.

At the time, Tayshia showed her support for her ex, but has her opinion changed?

Was Brendan Morais ‘Here For The Right Reasons’ on Bachelorette?

Tayshia Adams has been happily engaged to Zac Clark for the last year. However, her journey through the franchise was riddled with red flags. Her former suitor Brendan Morais was the center of one of the biggest Bachelor in Paradise scandals.

He formed a connection with Natasha Parker on Season 7, or so Parker thought. Once former Bachelor contestant Pieper James showed up on the beach, the truth came out. In a hot mic moment, Pieper and Brendan detailed their plan to game the system to gain social media followers.

Morais was stringing Natasha along until Pieper showed up.

Once the plan was revealed, the duo were sent packing. Given that Brendan Morais self-eliminated on The Bachelorette, fans are skeptical of his true intentions. Was he there for love or for clout?

Tayshia Adams admits she ‘dodged a bullet’ with Colton Underwood

Tayshia was a guest on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live earlier this week. She was put in the hot seat when Andy Cohen started asking about her dating history on the Bachelor franchise.

Fans call in or tweet their questions for the guests. Two fans asked Tayshia to weigh in on the Brendan Morais drama on BIP. Furthermore, they asked if she was happy that she dodged that bullet.

Andy Cohen jumped in and said, “Yeah, she dodged being hooked up with a gay guy,” meaning Colton Underwood. In response, Tayshia laughed and said, “yeah, I kinda dodged a bullet there.”

The Bachelor Nation alum also said that she’s “very happy” with her fiance Zac Clark.

Did she see Blake Moynes and Katie Thurston split coming?

Another day, another Bachelor/ette breakup. This time it was Season 17’s Katie Thurston and her fiance Blake Moynes. The pair let fans know earlier this week that they’ve decided they aren’t “compatible as life partners.”

Tayshia Adams weighed in on the split. Us Weekly reports that she was as blindsided as anyone else. Speaking to Andy Cohen on WWHL, she said:

“I truthfully thought that they were meant for each other and thought they complimented each other quite well. It made me really sad.” – Tayshia Adams, Watch What Happens Live.

The outlet notes that Tayshia flashed her engagement ring when Andy Cohen tried to throw shade on the franchise’s success rate.
