When Calls The Heart’s Abigail and Cody Stanton are in the upcoming sneak peek of When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas Parts 1, 2. Lori Loughlin is back acting for the first time the College Admissions scandal erupted and she parted ways with Hallmark.

Lori Loughlin Is Back As Abigail Stanton In When Hope Calls Sneak Peek
On Friday, GAC Family released the first look preview of When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas, with Lori Loughlin as Abigail Stanton. That also means Carter Ryan, who portrays Cody Stanton, is also back.
In the GAC preview, the camera goes down a magnificent, snow-covered Christmas tree. It is packed with red and silver balls, along with a thick red ribbon festooned around it. Then we see Abigail and Cody looking at the magnificent Christmas tree.
Abigail says, “This tree is so beautiful.”
Cody replies, “Being here is gonna be thinking of me and my sister. I don’t know what would have happened without you.”
Abigail gets closer and emotionally exclaims, “Nothing has made me happier than being your mom.”
“You mean it?” he asks.
Giving Cody a look of love, she replies, “With all of my heart.”
This powerful scene has all the feels that Hearties have been waiting to enjoy for nearly three years. But, it took a brand new network to bring the fallen star back to her beloved role as Abigail Stanton.
You Can See Lori Loughlin In When Hope Calls Season 2 On GAC Family, Not Hallmark
If you are looking to DVR Lori Loughlin’s return to her role as Abigail Stanton, don’t look at Hallmark. She is not returning to her former network anytime soon. Instead, she is portraying Abigail in the GAC Family revival of When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas Parts 1, 2.
Former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott started GAC, and brought Lori, along with Daniel Lissing, back for the When Hope Calls Christmas special. However, it should also be noted that he was the Hallmark CEO when the college admissions scandal happened.
He was at the helm when Hallmark told When Calls The Heart co-creator, Brian Bird, that they had to remove all traces of Loughlin from WCTH Season 6 or end the show. It was not his favorite choice.
Daniel Lissing Will Be In When Calls The Heart Season 2: A Country Christmas
Lori Loughlin is not the only former When Calls The Heart star starring in the upcoming As for Daniel Lissing, he had publicly expressed his desire to be part of other Hallmark productions after he left WCTH, and they killed off his character, Jack Thornton. But, that never happened.
However, he is starring in GAC Family’s A Christmas Star on Sunday, December 12, at 8 p.m. Eastern. He will also be in the When Hope Calls Season 2: A Country Christmas Parts 1 & 2. That airs on Saturday, December 18, at 8 p.m. Eastern, on GAC Family.
