Josiah & Lauren Duggar Scrub Social Media Ahead Of Josh’s Trial
Counting On fans have been waiting for an update from Josiah and Lauren Duggar. But it’s been almost a year since they’ve posted on their shared Instagram account. They recently resurfaced at a family outing, but aside from that, they’re seldom pictured. It’s unclear what happened because the couple previously shared frequent photos of themselves and their daughter, Bella, online. Bella will turn two in November.
Josiah and Lauren haven’t had any magazine interviews or issued a statement on Josh Duggar’s arrest either. For those who don’t know, Josh was arrested for the possession of child pornography in April. He’s pled not guilty, but his trial is slated for November 30. So, his fate will be revealed at that point.

Sometime in the past few days, Josiah and Lauren have deleted almost every picture they had posted of their daughter. Now, if you look at their Instagram page, there are only a couple of photos of her posted. Before, they had shared milestone updates and more as she grew up.
As mentioned, they still haven’t posted since November 2020. There are still a handful of photos of themselves during and before Lauren’s pregnancy. Bella is only pictured in one photo with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, as well as a first birthday post from last November.
Did Josh’s arrest prompt this?
On Reddit, Duggar Snarks are discussing Josiah and Lauren’s decision to scrub their Instagram page. Many critics think it might have something to do with Josh’s upcoming trial. One user writes, “Probably predicting photos of the family going to be plastered across the news soon and they don’t want their kid to be part of it.”
Another adds, “This is the smartest thing they could do.” Others speculate that Josh’s alleged crimes led to Josiah and Lauren realizing what people could be doing with innocent photos of their toddler daughter. Last year, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo decided to stop sharing photos of their daughters’ faces in hopes of giving them more privacy. So, it’s possible that Lauren and Josiah are following in their footsteps.
One Reddit user says, “It’s possible they sought therapy or some form of help after Josh’s arrest. Someone may have educated them about CSAM and current trends in what perpetrators do with public photos of children shared in social media. And so they got more protective of their daughter. Tbh good for them.”
There’s no way to know for sure what happened and why they decided to delete their photos of Bella. However, many Reddit users think that Josh’s arrest has something to do with it all.
