‘Sanditon’ Season 2 Premiere Date, New Cast Members Announced
Sanditon has been revived and Season 2 is coming out next year. In addition, there are some new cast members, as well as a short synopsis of the upcoming storyline.

When Is Sanditon Season 2 Premiering?
Sanditon Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, March 20, 2021, at 9 p.m. Eastern. According to TV Line, the series, which is based on Jane Austen’s unfinished novel of the same name, will air on Masterpiece PBS. Moreover, there will be both a Season 2 and a Season 3. Season 2 will have six episodes. It is not clear if Season 3 will be the final season, or series as the British call it. But it is back!
Back in May, PBS made a reverse decision. They un-canceled the series and renewed it for two seasons. That happened in conjunction with BritBox, the streaming service.
The series first came out in January 2020. The fireworks between Charlotte (Rose Williams, A Quiet Passion), and Sidney (Theo James, Divergent) kept viewers glued to their seats. The shocking ending broke hearts. However, nothing broke hearts as much as the cancelation of the series.
Unfortunately, Sanditon fans have been through a continuous roller coaster ride. When they renewed the show, Theo James made an announcement that broke the heart of the show’s viewers.
Where Is Theo James?
Sanditon fans hoped that Sidney and Eliza (Ruth Kearney, Get Shorty) would break up and Sidney and Charlotte would find each other again. But, Theo James felt that his character’s storyline was over.
PBS/Masterpiece shared on Twitter his statement. “Although I relished playing Sidney, for me, I’ve always maintained that his journey concluded as I wanted it to. The broken fairytale-like ending between Charlotte and Sidney is different, unique and so interesting to me and I wish the cast and crew of Sanditon every success with future series.”
Fans were calling out possible replacements to portray Sidney. There was even a consensus that Henry Cavill portray the mercurial Sidney. However, they are approaching the casting change a different way.
Who Is Starring In Sanditon Season 2?
Who is starring in Sanditon Season 2? Rose Williams (Charlotte Heywood) is back. So is Anne Reid (Lady Denham), Kris Marshall (Tom Parker), Kate Ashfield (Mary Parker), Crystal Clarke (Miss Georgiana Lambe), Jack Fox (Sir Edward Denham), Charlotte Spencer (Esther Denham), Lily Sacofsky (Clara Brereton), Turlough Convery (Arthur Parker), Kevin Eldon (Mr. Hankins), and Adrian Scarborough (Dr. Fuchs).
As for Charlotte’s new suitors, can you say possible love triangle? Because Ben Lloyd-Hughes (Industry) and Tom Weston-Jones (Grace) are the guys. But that is not all. In addition, Rosie Graham (Outlander), Frank Blake (Normal People), Maxim Ays (Still So Awkward), and Alexander Vlahos (Versailles) are all part of Season 2.
Neither Theo James nor his wife in real life, Ruth Kearney, will be returning. In addition, Mark Stanley (Lord Babington), and Leo Suter (Young Stringer) will not be part of Season 2.

What Is Sanditon Season 2 Storyline?
What do we know about Sanditon Season 2? TV Line shared the PBS synopsis. It is now nine months later. Charlotte has now returned to the “beautiful seaside resort and soon attracts the attention of not one, but two new men.”
As for Georgiana Lambe, this is now the final summer before she turns 21. The young woman is now “keen to forge her own identity, gets up to mischief in the name of love__but will she run the risk of being lonelier than ever before?”
In addition, “the Parkers are back, as Tom strives to rebuild Sanditon. But there are many unforeseen issues awaiting him, while the secrets and lies of the dysfunctional Denhams continue to rock the foundations of the sunny seaside town.”
