What is Extinct about

According to NetflixExtinct is about the following:

Two cut, fuzzy creatures accidentally time-travel to the future… where they’re extinct! Can this doughnut-shaped duo save their species?”

In What’s on Netflix’s report, viewers learn that the doughnut-shaped creates are named Op and Ed. They’re a type of animal called Flummels. When they time-travel, they go from 1835 to modern-day Shanghai. They discover the following while there, not only do they discover that they’re extinct, but trans fats and traffic are a thing.

Extinct release date

Interestingly, Extinct was first announced back in 2018. Now, the movie is set to hit Netflix on November 19, 2021. However, as WoN reports, some international regions have already seen the movie. For example, in Germany, Constantin Film distributed the movie theatrically. The movie was is also in the theaters in the Netherlands. In the United Kingdom, Extinct was released by Sky Cinema and NowTV in August 2020.

WoN also notes that the animated film has some ties to The Simpsons. Joel Cohen, John Frink, and Rob LaZebnik are credited as writers. The 84-minute film is directed by David Silverman (The Simpsons, Monster, Inc.). Also, Raymond S. Persi from Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph is the co-director. The feature film uses production and animation studios like Cinesite, China Lion Films, and HB Wink Animation.

Not surprising, the cast for Extinct is star-studded. Voice actors for the film are as follows:
