Jill Dillard Surfaces For First Time After Heartbreaking Miscarriage
Former Counting On stars Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard recently revealed to fans that they suffered a miscarriage during her third pregnancy. Prior to the miscarriage, the couple had not announced the pregnancy. However, they did decide to share about the loss online.
In a social media post, they shared some highlights from the beginning of Jill’s pregnancy, including her taking pregnancy tests, as well as telling their sons, Israel, 6, and Samuel, 4.
Sadly, they lost the baby early in the pregnancy. They named the baby they lost River Bliss. Because of the miscarriage, Jill and Derick haven’t been too active on social media lately. But Jill recently returned to give fans a quick update and thank them for all the love and support.

Since Jill and Derick revealed their miscarriage to fans, they have been keeping quiet on social media. On Monday, however, Jill came back with an update. On her Instagram Stories, she revealed what’s been going on lately. She said, “I just wanted to hop on here really quickly — it’s been a little bit since I’ve shown my face on here. As y’all know, it’s been kind of a crazy season for us with the recent loss of our baby River.”
“We’ve just been taking more family time, kind of regrouping and getting back into some normal rhythms, but just wanted to hop on here and say thank you to family and friends who have reached out and supported us, bringing us meals, cleaning our house, all the things,” Jill added.
She also included a photo collage of their recent days, acknowledging all of the support they’ve received. She reveals that friends and family have helped with everything from meals to childcare. They’ve pitched in to help her keep the house clean, paid for her coffee, and given gifts. It seems like Jill really appreciates all of the love during this challenging time.
It’s unclear when Jill will officially return to social media. But fans are glad she’s taking time to heal, and they understand that she needs to focus on herself and her family. In response to her miscarriage news, fans sent lots of love and encouragement her way to hopefully help her feel a little bit better.
