Jimmie Allen continues tour after joining dance competition

Of all the names competing on Season 30 of Dancing With The Stars, Jimmie Allen’s was among the most unexpected. The rising country music star just released his album Bettie James Gold Edition in June.

Additionally, his wife Alexis Gale, was literally weeks from giving birth to their second child. The couple already has one daughter, Naomi, 19 months. Jimmie Allen also has a son, Aadyn, 7, from a previous relationship, per Us Weekly.

Throughout his time on the dance competition, Jimmie Allen mentioned that his new child could arrive at any moment. As if he’s not busy enough, the crooner is also in the middle of a tour. The next tour date is on October 21st, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Country music star, wife welcome daughter

It turns out Jimmie Allen was correct – his daughter did arrive just weeks into the dance competition. The country music star welcomed a daughter, Zara James Allen, on Saturday, October 16.

Allen canceled a concert in North Carolina to be by his wife’s side. He shared a photo on his Instagram of his new bundle of joy. Sitting alongside his wife in her hospital bed, the new parents beam over their new addition.

Will he dance two days after his daughter’s birth?

During Season 28 of DWTS, actor James Van Der Beek’s wife suffered a devastating miscarriage. He chose to remain in the competition to honor his family. Unfortunately, he was eliminated before he could reach the finals.

What about Jimmie Allen? Will he remain in the competition following his daughter’s birth? The country music star was a guest on former DWTS champ Bobby Bones’ radio show on Monday morning.

From the sounds of it, the show will go on for Jimmie Allen. He spoke excitedly about the Grease movie theme for the Monday, October 18th show.

Jimmie Allen and the radio host discovered that they both played Danny Zuko in high school productions of the popular John Travolta flick.
