Abbie & John Duggar Doing Things Differently, Breaking Baby Stigma?
Could Abbie and John Duggar be living their lives differently from the rest of their family? Fans noticed several signs that the pair may be going their own way. They could even be going so far that they won’t stick with the same Duggar family baby stigma. What are fans saying about this?
Abbie and John Duggar seem less interested in having a large family.
John and Abbie currently have a daughter Gracie, who will turn two years old in January. The couple seems absolutely smitten with their daughter, but they haven’t added another baby to their family yet. This comes as a surprise because many of the other Duggars have had their kids close in age. Fans have been expecting a pregnancy announcement from John and Abbie for months, but they haven’t broken the news yet. So, it’s possible they are waiting to grow their family or are only interested in having one or two kids.
As we reported, Abbie recently opened a clothing resale shop online, and she has started selling baby clothing. Fans think this may be a sign that they aren’t having another baby because they would probably save the clothes for the next baby if so. However, Abbie does sell a variety of items, even ones that may not fit her. So, she may buy clothing and resell it for a profit.
It’s also worth noting that Abbie had hyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy and was hospitalized. She may be hesitant to get pregnant again because of this. It would be difficult to care for a toddler while feeling sick for the duration of her pregnancy.
Counting On fans think they’re breaking the baby stigma.
In a new post on the Duggar Bates Confessions page, a fan points out that John and Abbie might have a different approach to living their lives and growing their family. They write, “I’m surprised Abbie and John haven’t had another baby yet..maybe they’re breaking the ‘have as many babies as you can’ stigma?”
In response to the post, many fans are agreeing with this statement. They’ve noticed plenty of things that John and Abbie have done differently over the years. So, it wouldn’t surprise them if they continue to pave their own trail.
One fan writes, “John is probably practical enough to only want kids he can actually afford and Abbie seems more sensible than most of them.”
Another adds, “The fact she is selling Gracie’s clothes on Poshmark, leads me to believe she’s not planning another baby soon.”
Someone else writes, “HG with a toddler wouldn’t sound appealing to me either.”
