Carole Baskin is a well-known Internet sensation. Her fame was brought on by the Netflix Original Tiger King. In Tiger King, she was the animal rights activist that was Joe Exotic’s archnemesis. This 60-year-old woman had many fans of the show hating her being the show’s villain. While Tiger King followed Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as Joe Exotic, who was in charge of Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, it showed glimpses into Carole Baskin’s life as she portrayed herself as an animal rights activist.

Carole Baskin was in her late teens when she began breeding and rescuing cats. Her fame from the show Tiger King came due to a rumor saying she was involved in the sudden disappearance of her second husband. Her second husband, Don Lewis, was declared legally dead in 2002 and fans of Tiger King had many questions about his sudden and mysterious disappearance. Baskin denied having anything to do with the situation. After the end of the show, fans still had so many questions.

More ‘Dangerous Operators’

It was announced that there will be a second Tiger King series coming to Netflix. This sequel to the original wouldn’t include Carole Baskin. How would fans get closure? They had so many questions about this alleged animal rights activist. Instead, Carole will be releasing her own series on Discovery+ called Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight. In this series Carole Baskin, along with her husband, Howard, will be looking into the treatment of the rare animals at Joe Exotic’s former zoo. According to Discovery+, this series is going to get to the real matters quickly. It will have Carole Baskin coming into direct confrontation with “dangerous operators.”

Blood Isn’t Thicker Than Water?

In Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight, she will be working with Joe Exotic’s niece, Chealsi. Chealsi was an employee at Joe’s zoo when she was younger. Using Chealsi’s inside knowledge, Baskin will try to find the remains of animals. Those remains will be used against Joe Exotic as evidence. Not only that, but she will also be going beyond the G. W. Zoo to look for evidence of illegal zoo tours as well. A Hollywood reporter stated that “one investigation into a shady roadside zoo will lead the production to a confrontation with a drug dealer in Miami.” It sounds like this series is one wild ride!

It’s quite a unique opportunity for the fans of Tiger King to get a glimpse at Carole Baskin’s side of the story while also watching her expose people for abusing animals. “This is our real-life work within a dangerous world, and viewers will see it comes with our people being threatened, guns pointed at us and the bad guys shooting at our drones,” Carole Baskin stated. While Baskin’s new series might not be as reality TV based as Tiger King was, fans of the show will likely enjoy watching this one as well.
