On the It’s a Buzz World Instagram page, the family shared a photo of the quints sitting in the mudroom together. The girls are wearing matching blue shirts with navy and pink floral leggings. Each of them is also wearing a cat ear headband. The girls all have their backpacks on and are smiling for the camera as they prepare to leave for school on Wednesday morning.
In the caption, Adam and Danielle Busby explain, “We got ‘Booed’ 👻 yesterday and the girls were all excited to wear their car ears this morning. Now, who shall we ‘Boo’ 🤔😉 ?”
In the comments section of Adam and Danielle’s post, fans are asking what they mean. Some of them aren’t familiar with what it means to be booed.
So, what does it mean to be ‘booed?’
While it sounds sad to think that the Busby kids were booed, it’s actually not so bad. Fortunately, getting booed is a fun Halloween festivity. A neighbor or friend will leave a basket or bag of Halloween goodies on another neighbor’s porch, ring the doorbell, and run away. They will typically include a sign that says, “We’ve been booed!” for the recipient to hang in their window. This prevents the same family from being booed over and over again.
When someone is booed, they then get to boo someone else in the neighborhood. They can go to the store and pick up fun Halloween treats and toys to anonymously gift to another neighbor. Then, the booing continues with the hopes that everyone will have a chance to be booed and pass along more Halloween treats.
Because Adam and Danielle asked who they should boo, OutDaughtered fans left some suggestions, including the Mills and the Mowbrays. Someone else suggested they boo the Waldrops of TLC’s Sweet Home Sextuplets.
So, what do you think of the girls’ cat ears? Do you think it’s fun that they got booed? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
