A SURPRISE sMothered Baby!
It’s a sMothered pregnancy! Laura Leigh Reese and her wife, Lauren are expecting their first child come April 2022. The Season 3 couple took to social media to share the happy news with their followers. They had mentioned they wanted to start a family and had offers from surrogates, including Lauren’s mom. Looks like it all came together and they will be a family of three soon enough.
Their sMothered Love Story
The duo wed prior to being featured on the hit TLC series. It revolves around mother/daughter duos who are eerily close. Lauren and her mama, Lisa had a very intense relationship. At one point, Lisa attempted to help Lauren get pregnant. This was a bit much, not only for viewers but for the doctor the couple was seeing. At-home insemination is one thing but having your mother assist- that is quite another.
Laura Leigh had come to terms with the idea she was marrying both Lisa and Lauren since their bond was so tight. It seems to work for the trio as the two have been together for five years now, according to Starcasm. Nine months after they met, they were engaged. By February of 2018, the couple tied the knot.
Three years later, Laura Leigh and Lauren were in for some reality television fame when they were featured on sMothered. However, viewers were still confused by Lisa’s “too close for comfort” involvement with her daughter’s babymaking process. Now, it does not seem to matter what happened because she is about to be a grandma.
And Baby Makes Three…Or Four
On October 3rd, Laura Leigh took to Twitter to share the big news. Laura Leigh is holding up a sonogram and beaming while Lauren stands behind her. Though Lauren was the one who wanted to wait just a bit longer, it seems the timing was just right for the duo. In the caption, it says: “SURPRISE. BABY REESE Due April 2022!!!! It’s Been Hard Holding in this Secret! #WeAreFinallyPregnant #BabyReese”
Their followers were quick to chime in. Of course, some had to ask if Lisa had a hand in it to which Laura slyly replied “no.” Others joked they were surprised Lisa was not in the picture with the couple. Laura Leigh had a sense of humor about that, as well. Yet, there were a lot of congratulations to go around. “Wow!!! That’s wonderful. Congratulations!!!!,” one fan commented.
Fellow sMothered co-star, Cher also sent her well wishes on Instagram: “Omg I’m sooooo happy for you both!!!!!” Another added: “Best news ever!!! Congratulations!!!” It will be exciting to see the role Lisa plays in the pregnancy since she has been so proactive along the way.
