Could ‘When Hope Calls’ Season 2 Include Visit From ‘WCTH’s’ Henry?
When Hope Calls Season 2 has just started production for GAC Family. The synopsis of the second episode seems to indicate that there could be a When Calls The Heart crossover.
Could that mean that Martin Cummins would go from one series to the other?
Does When Hope Calls Season 2 Synopsis Mean Henry Will Visit Brookfield?
When GAC announced that Lori Loughlin would return for When Hope Calls Season 2, they seemed to have created a mystery. It looks like Abigail Stanton is going to have a “profound conversation with a dear friend from the past.”
According to the GAC press release, “In the World Premiere of When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, Part 2, photojournalist Paul Franklin is wrapping his research on the community of Brookfield as a contender for America’s #1 Country Christmas Town. By now, Paul blends in as the town prepares for Christmas Eve. Lillian, the orphans, and Gabriel are running out of options to restore the troubled boy’s hope for better times. Just when all seems lost, a secret Santa appears to fulfill all holiday wishes, and Abigail has a profound conversation with a dear friend from the past. Meanwhile, Paul’s lens is recording every miraculous moment.”
It looks like there is a bit of a mystery here.
Could There Be A When Calls The Heart, When Hope Calls Crossover?
Based on the When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, Part 2, there could be someone familiar to Hearties showing up in Brookfield. That starts out with one big question. Could there be a When Calls The Heart crossover in the first place? In the past, there were several crossovers. But, both shows were on the same network.
However, there already is a crossover of sorts. Abigail and Cody Stanton are from When Calls The Heart. They have crossed to a new show, and a new network.
Hearties can wonder now that When Hope Calls is on GAC, could characters still go between shows? That seems possible. Brian Bird is the executive producer of both shows. He managed to get two When Calls The Heart characters to star in the first two episodes of When Hope Calls Season 2. Maybe he could do more?
Who Is Abigail’s ‘Dear Friend’?
Now Hearties are wondering who could Abigail’s “dear friend” possibly be? Could Brian Bird arrange to bring Martin Cummins, to portray Henry Gowen? Or even Erin Krakow to portray Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton?
The latter seems more likely to describe a “dear friend.” However, it does not seem to make sense in Elizabeth’s storyline. WCTH Season 9 is all about Elizabeth and Lucas (Chris McNally) making a life together, including some romance.
However, Paul Greene does not seem to be part of When Calls The Heart Season 9. Instead, he is currently filming a Hallmark Christmas movie, Christmas CEO, in Ottawa.
As he is the closest to where When Hope Calls, it could be very possible that Dr. Carson Shepherd could visit Brookfield and speak to Abigail Stanton. His character is on a sort of journey. This would make a lot of sense.
Whatever the case, Lori Loughlin only has permission to film for about a week. We may soon find out who is visiting Brookfield!
