In an exclusive sneak preview of next week’s episode of Welcome to Plathville, Ethan Plath explains his decision to put their Georgia home on the market. He explains that he’s reached a point in his life where he needs to get out of Cairo.
I kind of want to move on, especially after the trip. I felt, like, there’s a lot of really, really beautiful places … If I had the chance to live in different places, then I’d love to do that, whereas before I was real set on sticking here and that was that. Now, I don’t have any intentions of staying in Cairo whether things work out with Olivia and I or not.”
Regardless of what comes of his relationship with Olivia… Ethan Plath insists he’s done living in Cairo. He’s ready to move onto another chapter of his life and explore a new place.
Things get awkward when it comes to split with Olivia
In the clip, the local realtor acknowledges that Olivia isn’t around. Turns out, Ethan isn’t really in a place where he just wants to broadcast the status of his relationship to other people.
He explained: “When the realtor showed up, the same lady I went and looked at houses with previously with Olivia, I felt like it was a little awkward just in that Olivia wasn’t here. Obviously, we’re separated and I didn’t want to tell her that but, yeah, it was a little weird at first.”
In the clip, Ethan Plath proceeds to show off his home to the realtor before officially listing it on the market. He also shares his thoughts on how Olivia might feel about the decision to sell the home.
I think Olivia will appreciate the fact I’m kind of taking initiative to get the place sold. I hope it will be a positive step for us moving forward.”

This doesn’t make sense. Olivia is the one who completely changed him and wanted OUT of the town for ” a year”, then said she was moving in with a friend in town!?? Fishy! He wanted to be near family not move to a big city. I think Olivia is screwing with his emotions! I feel sorry for him! Stay strong Ethan Plath!
She is so manipulative. She hangs around his family. I liked her at first but not anymore. I love Helena. She calls like she sees it. Especially with Olivia being in Moriah’s band and forcing her to choose.
