’90 Day Fiance’: Are Corey And Evelin Secretly Married?
Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas have been one of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’s most up and down couples. There were cheating rumors and it seemed they had settled into being “just friends” during the pandemic. Yet, there may be much more to the story. Did the couple of seven years secretly tie the knot?
Corey and Evelin’s 90 Day Fiance Relationship
Long before the couple joined the 90 Day spinoff, their love story officially began. Corey had been backpacking in Ecuador when he met his beloved. Evelin made conversation and soon, the two were clicking. So much so that Evelin invited Corey to come back and visit her home. He knew he was falling for her so Corey asked Evelin to make it official.
Unfortunately, their romance remained long distance and this put a strain on it. They experienced a lot of ups and downs and eventually, Evelin attempted to live in America. Unfortunately, after half a year, she became too homesick to stay. This is when they ended up on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way where the American partner relocates overseas to be with the one they love.
The move to Ecuador caused more drama than good. She was accused of cheating and he started spending time with Larissa Lima. All was soon forgotten and the two got engaged. The happiness went adrift during the 2o2o COVID pandemic. It seemed to take a toll on them as they quarantined together but shared they were just friends. However, they are determined to make it work and returned for Season 3 of the franchise. Regardless of what viewers have to say about them, they made an announcement that shook the 90 Day world.
The Future of Corey and Evelin
Viewers were rooting for Corey to find love elsewhere. As it turns out, he officially committed himself to Evelin a little over two years ago. They did it in Ecuador but realized they needed two witnesses. So, the duo searched the streets until they found a willing couple who accepted twenty bucks to help them out. The idea was to keep it very private. Much to their dismay, Corey told one castmate in confidence and she betrayed his trust.
Corey goes on to add this season will clear everything up and make it all make sense. Some followers are confused by the timeline, commenting things such as: “Wait so the marriage was before the cheating/breakup or after? I’m confused.” While others are nothing but supportive of their choice: “You don’t owe anyone an explanation! Congratulations on your beautiful marriage.”
