‘Love After Lockup’ Rachel Gives Dougie Update, Shares Biological Son
Rachel from Love After Lockup may not have been lucky in love but she definitely became a fan favorite. Hearts melted when she took in her estranged husband, Doug’s son before he was even released from prison. Then, she kept him after the two split up. It is no surprise she is so mothering. Rachel already had a son who could not be featured on the show. Now, the reality star is giving an update on both her little boys and a glimpse at her biological little one.
Rachel’s Struggle To Love After Lockup
She had a penchant for felons. Though Rachel had served time in the marines and was an engineer, she loved bad boys. When she saw 6’5 inmate Doug, she was smitten. They wed while he was still incarcerated. Because his ex was a drug addict, Rachel took in Doug’s preteen son. He had previously been raised by Doug’s family but seemingly felt safest with Rachel.
Dougie Jr. knew his dad’s ways and really did not trust him upon his release. No one did and warned Rachel he would turn. Still, she dreamed of having a family with him. Doug went as far as to ask him to marry him again. Sadly, things went south, and the two split. It appeared he had not been completely faithful to her. He soon ended up in another relationship.
She filed for divorce twice and recently, Doug was arrested on a plethora of charges. Everyone wondered if Dougie Jr. ended up with Rachel. Luckily, he did and the two could not be happier. She loves being able to caretake and it seems they are one little happy family.
The Brothers Thrive
Dougie Jr. is very happy with both Rachel and his 10-year-old stepbrother. Rachel and her son’s father made the choice to keep him off the show. However, she did chat about him in a since-deleted Instagram post, which Starcasm snagged. A follower asked how the boys get along. Rachel shared they are inseparable.
Yes, she has four bedrooms but they prefer to share one. This will be her next project so they can have their wish. It makes sense as to why Dougie was always so happy and comfortable living with her. She has a YouTube channel and promises more updates about her life and her family.
