An Autumn Romance Kicks Off GAC Movies, Starring Chad Michael Murray, Jessica Lowndes
GAC’s An Autumn Romance premieres on Saturday, October 23, at 8 p.m. Eastern. This movie stars two well-known stars, Chad Michael Murray, and Jessica Lowndes. This movie is based on Jane Porter’s novel, The Tycoon’s Kiss.
What is this movie about? According to the GAC press release, when Seattle-based librarian Taylor Harris (Lowndes) suddenly loses her job, she travels to Montana to visit her brother Craig ( Dennis Andres, Feel The Beat) and his wife Christine (Moni Ogunsuyi, The Boys).
Soon, she quickly finds herself immersed in her brother’s effort to save the Graff Hotel. This local destination was recently purchased by tech tycoon Joel Sheenan (Murray) and his associate, Ray Dixon (Michael Brown, Degrassi: Next Class).
The town of Forest Ridge, Montana is split on Joel’s decision to turn the once quaint hotel into an upscale property for tourists. To protect the hotel’s charm and her brother’s place of employment, Taylor goes on a search to find a significant historical event that will qualify the hotel for landmark status and prevent the City Council from issuing permits for its renovation.
With the clock ticking, Taylor seizes on a photograph that has the potential to verify the property’s historical value while also providing an invaluable piece of personal history to the hotel’s new owner.
Much Ado About Christmas Written, Directed By Christmas Waltz, YR Favorite
Young and The Restless alum Michael Damian is now a director and writer. He was behind Hallmark’s number one Christmas Waltz. His first GAC movie was originally developed by Hallmark, back with Bill Abbott was still CEO. Now, it is the first movie released on his new network.
Much Ado About Christmas premieres on Saturday, October 30, at 8 p.m. Eastern. This movie stars Susie Abromeit and Torrance Coombs.
In this new movie, Haley (Abromeit) is beloved in her community of Winterstone. She is known for her acts of kindness. Those acts range from managing The Hope Chest to directing the children’s choir. Haley is also the daughter of one of Winterstone’s wealthiest residents Leona Lloyd (Jacinta Mulcahy, Brand New-U).
Despite Haley’s down-to-earth demeanor, she is financially set as Leona’s only heir. However, Haley fails to share this all-important information with her new love interest Claud (Coombs), an artsy, hopeless romantic.
Haley introduces herself to Claud as “Haley Logan.” Moreover, she tells him she was raised by a single, struggling mom. However, this small fib becomes a sticky complication.
Claud and his team just so happen to present an ad pitch to Leona. That pitch includes a photo of Claud’s new girlfriend. Yes, Haley! Soon, secrets are revealed and relationships are ruffled.
Yet, Christmas is coming. This is the season of miracles.
Christmas Time Is Here Is Third Movie In GAC Lineup
The third movie that GAC has announced is Christmas Time Is Here. The premiere is on Saturday, November 13, at 8 p.m. Eastern. This movie stars Dewshane Williams, Rukiya Bernard, and Tom Pickett.
In this movie, a successful small-town realtor has her heart set on closing a big sale on a new resort for her client, Julian Parsons (Williams). Of course, she wants to do it just in time for Christmas.
There is only one hitch. No matter how many properties in Pine Valley Nia (Bernard) shows Julian, he keeps coming back to the one resort that isn’t for sale. He wants the one that belongs to Nia’s widower dad, Patrick (Pickett).
Patrick would like to sell the property and retire. However, it’s Nia who cannot let go of memories of an idyllic time in life when her mom was still alive and very much a part of the resort.
Julian realizes Nia’s reluctance to sell the property, but it may not matter. Subsequently, Julian’s impatient boss has come to Pine Valley. He is intent on getting the deal done before Christmas. At the risk of losing his job, Julian comes up with a magical plan for saving Nia’s family’s resort.
Although GAC has not made any more announcements about future programming, it may safely be assumed that there will be more original movies announced in the coming weeks. We already know that Jen Lilley will be starring in a new movie called Royally Wrapped Christmas. There may be more surprises coming!
