Season 9 of My Big Fat Fab Life kicked off with Whitney crushing hard on her French tutor. An online romance sparked between the two. However, when she is video chatting with her new man, his face is a blur for viewers.

Even when the TLC star went Instagram official with her beau, she didn’t reveal his name or his face. Whitney explained that her new boyfriend wanted to keep his identity private. Needless to say, her social media followers did not react well to that.

Whitney Way Thore has gotten a lot of heat for keeping her new man a secret. Viewers have a hard time making sense of dating a reality star but insisting on privacy. In fact, some fans think Whitney is being catfished in a sense by her man. Yes, he’s real, but are his intentions honorable?

Whitney Way Thore Shares DMs of Fans Going HARD at Her Over New Romance
The TLC star is fed up with negative comments about her new beau. She took to Instagram to post a long rant about the flood of messages she’s gotten about her relationship. Whitney begins her lengthy vent by saying she can’t find the words for her relationship as it’s “all been a blur.”
What seemed to be a gushing post about her new man turned into a diatribe against her social media followers. The MBFFL star confesses that the messages that her boyfriend hides his face out of embarrassment are “confusing” to her.
She points out that she was in France for over a month with him earlier this summer. And yes, they did go out in public. In fact, they visited some of the most popular tourist destinations, including the Louvre. Why would he do that if she embarrasses him, she asks.
Whitney Way Thore points out that the negative comments about him only prove his decision to keep his identity private.
The MBFFL star begs her followers to let her be happy. “I’ve dated some sh***y dudes and had heartbreaks, but I also do not doubt that I have been loved deeply and fiercely,” she writes. Whitney also proclaims that she knows she deserves love.
Whitney also asks that her followers stop projecting their own feelings of being unlovable onto her. “If you feel that you can’t be loved because of your size or for any other reason, please don’t project that onto me,” she cautions. After all, she is just “out here trying to enjoy myself and this person and what we have together.”
