Chip Gaines’ New Hair Cut: Why Did He Chop It All Off?!
For a while, Fixer Upper stars may notice that Chip Gaines has been growing out his hair. While it seems like he’s always had long hair, lately it has been longer than usual. Come to find out he may have been growing it out for a good cause. He is raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Now, Chip is sporting a new, drastic haircut. Fixer Upper star Chip Gaines fundraises for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Chip Gaines has been participating in a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Recently, he takes to his Instagram to share the dramatic before and after photos of his contributions to the cause. That being said, he’s been asking his fans to “chip” in with the promise that he would cut off all of his hair. This promise came on Monday, August 23rd.
Remarkably, by Friday, August 27th, Chip had raised more than $300K for St. Judes. At the time of this writing (Saturday, August 28th), Chip’s Instagram reveals that his efforts raised $425K. However, he and Joanna rounded contributed to contributing and even $500K. Additionally, he shares that they’re making a separate donation to Children With Hair Loss. His hair is going to a good cause
Not only does Chip raise a substantial amount of money for St. Judes, but his hair is going towards a good cause. In an Instagram video documenting the haircut, Chip’s hair is secured in ponytails because it is going to be used to make a wig. By donating Chip’s hair to Children With Hair Loss, a child will get a wig made out of Chip’s hair.
In the comment section, fans are being very positive and uplifting towards Chip’s cause. One fan writes, “The wonderful thing about the Gaines is not only do they talk the talk they walk the walk. You don’t find many people that anymore ❤️.”
Now that Chip’s head is completely shaved, several people suggest that he doesn’t forget the sunscreen. “Don’t forget sunscreen for the dome for a while,” writes one fan. Others mention that it is especially crucial in the Texas sun.
