In the video, Josie, Kelton, and their two daughters, Willow, 2, and Hazel, 2 months, are outdoors releasing a bunch of white balloons into the sky. Willow releases the balloons as the parents hold each other close.

In her caption, Josie writes, “One year ago we lost an Angel. You were so tiny, but so loved. You made us stronger, you made us love deeper, and you will never be forgotten. 🤍 08-25-2020” She also uses the #Miscarriage.

As we’ve reported, Josie and Kelton opened up about their miscarriage last year. Shortly after this loss, Josie became pregnant with another baby. She shared how difficult it was to be pregnant after a loss.

In January, Josie announced that she was pregnant. She wrote, “2020 was a difficult year for everyone, and it was especially difficult for our little family after suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage in August. It seemed to be a tumultuous and trying year for all, but our faith that God is ultimately our source of comfort and joy, gave us hope that brighter days are ahead.”

Bringing Up Bates fans send love amid loss.

In response to the video, fans are sending encouraging words to Josie and Kelton. Many are leaving heart emojis and telling the couple they are praying for them. They think this is a “lovely” and “beautiful” way to honor the baby the couple lost.

Other fans are sharing their own experiences with miscarriage and loss. This may help Josie feel like she’s less alone in her experience.

Josie & Kelton Balka welcome their rainbow baby to the world.

While it surely doesn’t take away all of the pain of Josie and Kelton’s loss a year ago, the couple was excited to welcome their rainbow baby in June. A rainbow baby is a baby born after a miscarriage or loss.

The first few days of Baby Hazel’s life weren’t easy, as she spent some time in the NICU. Fortunately, she pulled through and is a healthy little one now at two months old.
