Duggar: Does Jill Dillard’s Son Sam Go To Public Preschool?
Jill Duggar Dillard and her sons, Israel and Samuel, have kicked off the school year. In a new social media post, Jill documented Israel’s first week of first grade, which was last week.
Last year, Israel went to public kindergarten, despite Jill and the rest of the Duggars being homeschooled. Jill and Derick decided this was best for their oldest son. Fans were curious about this school year and whether Israel would go to public school or be homeschooled.
In Jill’s post, she shared lots of photos of Israel before he went off to school. So, he’s in public school again. This sparked questions about Jill’s younger son, Samuel too. Fans wanted to know whether he is in public preschool or staying at home this year.

In a comment, one fan asked, “Does Sam go to a preschool or do you work with him at home?”
In response, Jill wrote, “We do work at home & try to interact with friends when possible + are super pumped that our library has a couple preschool classes back in person now!”
When Jill posted about Israel’s first week of school, she also included a few snaps of Samuel at the library and with a book at home. In her post, she wrote, “Sam is super happy to be getting some one-on-one time with mommy in preschool at home & on-the-go with regular library visits and fun classes they offer!”
Fans are commenting and telling Jill to soak up this quality time with Samuel. The little guy turned four on July 8, so he will be the right age for kindergarten next year. Jill hasn’t said whether Samuel will be going to public kindergarten next year as his brother did.
But it seems like Jill is already happy with Israel’s public school experience. She talked about how excited she is for Israel and that he gets to have the same teacher he had last year. Jill will probably share lots more updates throughout the school year.
